BE A PART OF OUR TEAM

Working at Penrose

Penrose is a place where people come together around a shared purpose: delivering high-quality care to the communities we serve.

We work in multidisciplinary teams where clinical and non-clinical colleagues support each other, solve problems together, and stay focused on what matters most — patients.

We’re growing, but we stay grounded. People understand how their role fits into the wider organisation and why their contribution matters.

WORKING TOGETHER

There’s a strong sense of shared responsibility across Penrose. Teams pull together, particularly when things are busy or challenging.

Managers are close to their teams and empowered to recognise great work. Colleagues step in for each other. Improvements come from people doing the job, not just from the top down.

If you care about doing meaningful work with people who genuinely support each other, you’ll feel at home here.

Supported to focus where you add the most value

Our teams are supported by central, professional functions that handle much of the operational and administrative workload.

This is designed to protect time and headspace — particularly for clinicians — so people can focus on delivering care, improving services, and applying their expertise where it has the greatest impact on patient care.

Operating at scale also brings benefits: shared learning, communities of practice, stronger systems, and the ability to invest in training, development, and improvement across the organisation.

CONNIE'S JOURNEY

We invest in people who want to grow with us and provide progression pathways where they make sense.

Connie’s journey is a great example of how people develop, take on responsibility, and progress within Penrose.

Connie joined us as a Medical Receptionist at our Penrose Surgery, building her skills and knowledge of healthcare and our unique approach to healthcare, focusing our welcome team on proactive care such as checking vitals.
Connie recently stepped up to become our Welcome team lead at one of our multi-site practices and is continuting to build her skills and career with the support of our People & Performance team and her manager (and mentor) Stacey.
