This is a short, pre-recorded video screen that we ask all candidates to complete to help us get a feel for your communication style, thought process, and instincts — before jumping into interviews.
You’ll answer a few high-impact questions on camera, with time to think before each one. No trick questions, no need to rehearse — just your take, in your words. It helps us keep things fair, fast, and focused for everyone.

This is a deep dive into your experience and how you approach building People systems. We’ll explore what you’ve done, what you’ve learned, and how you think — especially around hiring, performance, and enabling delivery at scale.
It’s a mix of conversation and challenge — we’re looking for clarity, sharpness, and delivery mindset, not just polished answers.

✍️ Take-Home Case Study
We’ll give you a short written case to complete on your own time (2–3 hours max). The goal isn’t polish — it’s signal. We want to see how you think, how you structure problems, and how you’d start making sense of a complex People function in motion.
This is a real-world scenario based on the challenges we’re navigating today. Clarity, prioritisation, and practicality are what we’re looking for here.

You’ll present and discuss your response in the next stage, so focus on making your thinking clear — not overdesigning the doc.

📂 Case Walkthrough & Leadership Thinking Round
You’ll walk us through the case study you completed — then we’ll dig deeper. We’ll explore how you think, how you prioritise, and how you handle trade-offs and values conflicts under pressure.
The second half of the session will include sharp, unscripted scenario questions — to test your judgment, communication, and leadership instincts in real-world moments.

This is a more informal conversation with members of our leadership team — a chance to explore mutual fit, talk long-term ambition, and understand your leadership style and values.
It’s less structured than earlier rounds — we want to understand how you think, where you’re going, and how you’d help shape the future of Penrose.
