OUR HIRING PROCESS
Clear steps. Fair decisions. No surprises.
OUR HIRING PROCESS
We aim to keep hiring clear, fair and respectful of your time. We’ll tell you what the steps are, what we’re looking for, and what happens next.
How our hiring process works
For some roles, particularly where we are recruiting multiple people or where teamwork is central to the role, we may use an assessment centre instead of a traditional interview. If this applies, we’ll explain what to expect in advance.
Apply online
Apply through our careers site. For most roles, we ask a small number of targeted questions rather than a long covering letter.
Online assessment
All applicants complete a role-relevant, online assessment reviewed alongside the application.
Initial review
Applications are reviewed against the essential criteria. We’ll let you know the outcome either way.
Hireflix interview
We may include a short video interview to understand communication and approach to common scenarios.
Short call
A 15–30 minute call to talk through the role, practical details, and your questions.
Interview or assessment centre
You’ll meet subject matter experts and our partners, or take part in an assessment centre designed around the role.
Assessment centres are used for some roles where teamwork, interaction, or volume hiring is central.
Role task (when relevant)
Some roles include a short task. If used, it will be clearly explained, role-specific, and assessed consistently.
Offer and pre-employment checks
Offers are conditional on references, right to work, and role-dependent checks such as DBS and occupational health.
Getting you started
Once checks are complete, we’ll confirm your start date and onboarding plan. Your first weeks are structured, supported, and well organised.
TOP TIPS FOR SUCCESS IN OUR PROCESS
- Answer the questions we ask, rather than using generic statements
- Use clear, practical examples from your own experience
- Explain what you did, how you approached it, and what the outcome was
- We want the genuine you - stand out from the crowd and don't just send us AI generated content
- If you’re unsure, use the process to ask questions rather than ruling yourself out
Disability Confident Committed
We want our process to be fair and accessible. If you need adjustments at any stage, tell us. This might include changes to interview format, extra time for assessments, or support with access needs.
If you have a disability and meet all the minimum criteria for the role, we’ll guarantee you an interview as part of our commitment to fair and inclusive recruitment.
